PLAISTOW, N.H. — The Plaistow Fire Department is asking locals to be on the lookout for bright yellow fire gear that was stolen from Deputy Chief John Judson's personal vehicle late last week.

Judson was shopping at a Market Basket in Plaistow before realizing the green Rubbermaid container that stored his jacket, helmet and other gear was missing.

"It's unique and easily identifiable," said Chief John McArdle. "We're not sure if they know what they were taking."
