Current Ohio fire chief, retired chief die on same day

CINCINNATI — A current and former fire chief died Friday.

WCPO.com reported that Wyoming Fire District Chief/paramedic James "Jim" Benken died following a duty shift; retired Milford Fire Chief John E. Cooper, 68, who served as chief for over 37 years, died at home.

Chief Cooper's funeral arrangements are pending; Chief Benken's visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wyoming Fire and EMS. His funeral will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Ascension of the Holy Trinity Church.
