2 FDNY firefighters seriously injured in floor collapse
Two other firefighters sustained minor injuries in the two-alarm commercial district fire in Queens

NEW YORK — Two FDNY firefighters were seriously injured, and two others sustained minor injuries when a floor collapsed Friday morning as they fought a two-alarm fire in Queens, QNS reported.
The blaze started in a furniture store just after 4 a.m., and heavy smoke was reported.
Shortly after firefighters entered the building, its second flood collapsed, injuring a firefighter.

EMS providers transported him to Elmhurst Hospital Center in serious condition.
The first spread to adjoining commercial buildings. A total of 25 units and 106 fire and EMS personnel responded.
Firefighters searched the buildings for people and found none.
The FDNY fire marshal’s office is investigating the fire.
