Firefighter back on job after saving 3 injured firefighters from fatal Okla. fire

HOBART, Okla. — A Hobart firefighter is back on the job less than two weeks after helping save three injured firefighters from a grain bin fire in Hydro.

Jack Eardman, Hobart's assistant fire chief, is being lauded for his actions during the blaze, which claimed the life of Hydro Fire Chief Nolan Schmidt.

But the 40-year-old says what he did wasn't heroic, it was his job.
