Honeywell showcases new gear, SCBA, wireless threat monitors

Honeywell demonstrated its newest firefighter protection and detection solutions at FDIC.

New technology ranges from particulate-resistant turnout gear, improved SCBA and software that helps departments manage assets and inventory.

Honeywell will also host 25 firefighters at the conference as co-sponsor of an annual scholarship program aimed at providing advanced training for responders; they're also co-sponsoring a program to help local governments secure grants to purchase PPE for firefighters.
