Increase the ladder's visibility

During night time operations or when there is limited visibility, the tip of the ladder is hard to see. One way to increase the ladder’s visibility is to paint the tip of the ladder with a fluorescent color.

The high visibility of the paint color will help firefighters see where the tip is so they can access it in a timely manner. When painting the tip, paint the beam about three rungs down from the top.
