Ladder the sill

The best place to position the ground ladder when laddering a window is the base of the window sill.
Many fireground tasks, such as entering the building, advancing a hose, victim rescue and removal and applying water, can be accomplished by putting the ladder tip at the base of the window sill. Be sure to always ladder the sill.
