Firefighter injured during S.C. training exercise
A Gaffney City firefighter was airlifted to the hospital and is recovering

GAFFNEY, S.C. — A Gaffney City firefighter had to be airlifted to the hospital after he was injured during a training exercise this week.
Fox Carolina and the Gaffney City Fire Department reported that the firefighter, whose name has not been released, was taken for treatment.
The firefighter was conscious, alert and being treated, the department said on its Facebook page.
On Friday afternoon, an update was provided saying the department hopes to see the firefighter back on duty soon:
