Multiple firefighters hurt in NY training competition
Minor injuries were reported after a multi-department competitive drill event in Merrick, with firefighters from several other New York towns participating

MERRICK, N.Y. — A competitive training drill in Merrick, N.Y., left multiple firefighters injured Saturday.
According to Long Island News 12, the firefighters were hurt during an exercise at the Four Towns Fireman Training Center.
Fire officials said minor injuries were reported afterward.
The competitive event, hosted by the North Merrick Fire Department, included teams from other towns in New York.
