WHO Report Advances Cancer Concern

CINCINNATI, Ohio - MagneGrip Group finds that a new World Health Organization (WHO) report creates a new urgency within many departments concerning the health of first responder professionals.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), part of the WHO, has classified diesel exhaust emissions as “carcinogenic to humans.” Other studies have long supported this concern and promoted the use of exhaust removal systems in firehouses and EMS facilities.
