Stop the blade

It is important to stop the blade once you’re finished using it. The rotary blade spins at a high rate of speed — which is anywhere between 4500 rpms and 5500 rpms. The combination of speed and a thin kerf of a blade provide for a disastrous outcome.

Stopping the blade needs to be done manually by pressing it against a piece of material.
