Texas firefighter-EMT dies after suffering medical emergency following training
Community Volunteer Fire Department Firefighter-EMT Nahit Oral's body will be flown back to his native country of Turkey

HOUSTON — Community Volunteer Fire Department Firefighter-EMT Nahit Oral died Thursday after suffering a medical emergency following a training event, Community VFD announced on Twitter.
Oral served with the department since 2020 and was assigned to Fire Station 93. He received the Academic Excellence Award for Fire Academy Class 2020-Alpha.
He is survived by his wife, Marie, and brother, Ozan.
Firefighter Oral began his service with the Community Volunteer Fire Department on March 2nd, 2020, and was assigned to Fire Station 93. He was the recipient of the Academic Excellence Award for Fire Academy Class 2020-Alpha.

He leaves behind his wife Marie and Brother Ozan.
“We ask for the community’s prayers and support for Firefighter Oral’s family, friends, and fellow first responders as we mourn his tragic loss.” the department said.
His body was transported and escorted from the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner's Office to a funeral home, where firefighters will stay by his side until he is flown back to his home country of Turkey.
