FireRescue1 Executive Editor Chief Marc Bashoor speaks with Kingman D. Schuldt, CFO, president of the IAFC’s Southeastern Association of Fire Chiefs, and chief, Greater Naples Fire Rescue District, FL about the relationship between the divisions and the parent organization in IAFC.

“The divisions serve such an important role in bridging the gap between the local communities and the state organizations to the international programs,” Shuldt notes. We really try to focus as a division to take those messages, those needs, those wants, desires of the local fire services at the state level and take them up to the international level.

Shuldt and Bashoor discuss the hot button issues in the Southeast division, which reflect the core values in the greater fire service: cancer presumption, mental health and wellness, PTSD, safe haven for newborns and fire prevention.
