NVFC announces 2021 Training Summit
A Virtual Preview later this year will offer training and feature course ‘snapshots’ of the 2021 event
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) announced this week that its next Training Summit will take place May 21-22, 2021, in Orlando, Florida.
The Training Summit that was originally scheduled for 2020 was ultimately moved in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The health and safety of our nation’s firefighters and EMS providers is of the utmost importance to the NVFC,” said NVFC Chair Steve Hirsch. “With the global pandemic still in progress, we realized having an in-person event this June as planned was impossible. We are looking forward to gathering again in 2021 to hold our sixth Training Summit.”
The NVFC also announced that it is holding a Virtual Preview of the 2021 event on June 26-27, 2020. The event will include training, keynote speakers and breakout sessions.
“The preview will feature shorter ‘snapshots’ of some of the courses that will be taking place at the Summit,” Hirsch added. “It is a great way to provide online health and safety training now while also giving responders a taste of what they can expect at the full event.”
The final schedule for the 2021 NVFC Training Summit is still in progress, and registration will open soon on the NVFC website.
